March 20 - 22, Regionals [leaving on the evening of march 19, wednesday]

Team 2204 welcomes you

Thank you for visiting our site. This is our second year as a robotics team and we're planning to compete in the FIRST competition again this year. With the aid of mentors and advisors that guided us through last season, we're hoping to build upon our experience of last year and build a competitive robot.

The FIRST Robotics Competition gives high school students six weeks and kit of parts to build a highly specialized robot for competition at regional events. The game, or task, for the year's season is introduced simultaneously across the world at a regional kickoff event in January. Ship date, in late February, marks the end of the six weeks allowed to build the machines. Robots generally weigh over a hundred pounds, and depending on the year's game, are called upon to perform a variety of complicated tasks. The competition is intense, and the FIRST program carries great prestige for its effectiveness. In 2007, over 1300 teams from seven countries participated in various local competitions

Team 2204 (Rambots), based in California, competed rookie year in the FIRST Robotics Sacramento/Davis regional in 2007. Despite our lack of resources and experience, we performed rather well and are looking forward to this year's competition with great anticipation.

The team would like to thank our mentors- Our participation is only made possible through their guidance and sacrifice.
